About Us

Nancy Dykeman is the owner of Long-Term Care Planning Consultants, LLC, and founder/principal of LTCares, an education and planning company.  Nancy provides education and funding solutions to individuals and business groups on planning for long-term care at home or in a facility.

She is recognized nationallyas a premier educator in the LTC field, serving as a core instructor for The Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification, and is Past Chairman of the Board of the CLTC Board of Standards. She is a faculty member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors and a member of the Certification Council.

Nancy has been an instructor of the Long-term Care Partnership Training since 2008.

As a speaker and lead presenter, she and her team of 10 top presenters represent the nation’s large-group LTC insurance carrier, conducting onsite informational meetings across the country. In addition they support mid-size employer groups for benefits brokers.  She and her team positively impact LTCi benefits participation.

Nancy has been a licensed producer for over 15 years, working with consumers in the 45-75 age brackets.  Her experience in planning began more than 30 years ago as co-owner of her family-owned funeral services company.   After becoming a licensed nursing home administrator, she operated large retirement communities, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. She was a caregiver for her mother for 20 years, her father for five years, her husband for several months and most recently, her daughter, who has battled cancer. Nancy’s goal is to help families prepare for caregiving and aging issues through development of a plan for care.

Nancy was selected as a national presenter for The Women’s Project for Long-Term Care, providing education on this women’s issue. She is primarily an educator and a financial/insurance advisor involved in leadership in her community in Beaufort, South Carolina where she and her family reside.
